BMW CS1 Introduction
The first debut of the BMW CS1 concept take palced at the New York International Auto Show. It provides a glimpse of the design philosophy which might characterize the exterior of future models of BMW.
The BMW CS1 is a drive concept also because the engine is placed logitudinally and the drive wheels are placed at the rear. It contains a 1.8 liter four cylinder featuring valvetronic valve control generating 115 horsepower.
The gears were shifted using SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) just in fraction of second through paddles on the steering wheel. Power is transfered to the road through 18 inch alloy wheels from both front and rear side.
